Dr. Robin Field, professor of English, received the 2025 Distinguished Achievement Award for Service to the Field of South Asian Studies. The award is given annually by the South Asian Literary Association to recognize a scholar who advances the knowledge and study of South Asian literatures, arts, and cultures. Dr. Field has been a member of SALA since 2002 and has served as the Managing Editor of the journal South Asian Review since 2018. She previously served as the Treasurer of SALA, an executive committee member, and conference co-chair.
