Dr. James Ambury, Associate Professor of Philosophy, published an essay on the importance of teaching race in Philosophy classes, entitled “Only That They Be Spineless: Centering Race and Racism in Philosophical Discussions of Justice.” In the forum Reappraisals, which looks at the now canonical essay “On Bullshit” by Harry Frankfurt, Dr. Regan Reitsma, Professor of Philosophy, published “Bullshitting as Deceptive Insinuation: A Procrustean Interpretation of ‘On Bullshit.'” Dr. Jennifer McClinton-Temple, Professor of English, published the introduction to the forum Overheard in the Academy, which features postcolonial literature professors reacting to Pope Francis’s “Letter on the Role of Literature in Formation.”
