Your presence is requested at this overly dramatic and hyperbolic fictional telling of the memoirs of Sir Montague (Monty) D’ysquith Navarro.
Set in London 1909, we begin our story with Monty Navarro, a poor penniless clerk, who is reeling from the very recent death of his mother, Isabel, we discover that Monty that he is in fact a very distant relative of the D’ysquith Family, and is ninth in line to inherit the earldom of Highurst. After eagerly reaching out to connect to his long-lost family, he is immediately cast aside and shunned, as was his mother many years ago. We then follow Monty as he turns to a life of achieving the earldom, even if he has to get rid of EVERY LAST D’YSQUTH to do it!
…Did I mention this was a musical comedy?
Come see the Tony-Award-Winning musical that’s a mix of the self-serious tragedy of “Les Miserables”, the chaotic physical absurdity of “Monty Python” and the musical stylings of Gilbert and Sullivan, as we watch Monty attempt to brutally and hilariously cut down the D’ysquith Family members (all played by 1 actor) down to size!
Performances will be held in the George P. Maffei II Theatre, located in the Mulligan Physical Science Center.
