Over Winter Recess, a group of King’s students travelled to Easton, Massachusetts to volunteer with My Brother’s Keeper, delivering furniture and food to families in need across the greater Boston area.
“I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Easton and volunteer with My Brother’s Keeper, a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading “Christian ministry of loving service and education”. Every day, we got the chance to serve and speak with families, and share laughs and conversations with them as we delivered countless chairs, couches, dressers, and any other furniture item you could imagine.” said Jacqueline Costello, an ABSN student.
“Seeing the thanks people had for us and what we were doing was such a heartwarming experience. This SERVE trip gave all of us the opportunity to see how even the smallest acts of love and kindness can mean the world to another person. I could not recommend going on a SERVE trip enough: it was truly the best way I could have spent my spring break.”
