The Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions (ASAHP) has elected King’s College’s Dean of Health Sciences, Christopher W. O’Brien, Ph.D., LAT, ATC, FASAHP, FNAP, to its Board of Directors for a three-year term. His term will begin in October 2026, at the conclusion of ASAHP’s Annual Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Headquartered in Washington, DC, ASAHP’s mission is to advance health professions education and discovery through interprofessional collaboration, leadership, excellence, and innovation.
Dr. O’Brien is the Inaugural Dean of Health Sciences at King’s College and is beginning his 10th year of service in this roll. Currently, Dr. O’Brien is the Chair of ASAHP’s Clinical Education Committee and liaison from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association to ASAHP. He has published regularly in ASAHP’s Journal of Allied Health, most recently, Health Professions Clinical Education Update: Recommendations and Strategies 2026. J Allied Health: 55(2), 217-226.
