The “Brown Bag Theatre” series, first launched by Brother James “Bro” Miller, a beloved former department chairperson and passionate advocate for theatre at King’s College, was recently reinstated in the 2022-2023 season as a dedication to the beautiful work he’s done for the theatre and the Kings College community at large.
Set again in “Brother Jim’s Cafe,” a New York City cafe that moonlights as weekly open mic club, this year’s theme is “reflections of a journey” which student performers present original solo works that explore deeply personal feelings and life experiences that shape who they are today through self-curated performance pieces that use song, speech, Poetry, and other means to showcase their creativity and self-expression.
