Since 2015, each year, the Peyton Walker Foundation generously provides King’s College Physician Assistant (P.A.) students the opportunity to apply for a scholarship. Candidates are provided with a prompt related to the mission and goals of the organization and the physician assistant profession, and they then submit an essay for consideration. Peyton Walker was a student at King’s and aspired to be a Physician Assistant, but at the young age of 19, was taken from this world due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). The Peyton Walker Foundation was created to honor her legacy. The foundation conducts screening events, distributes AED’s, and provides education to help prevent SCA deaths. Moreover, The Peyton Walker Foundation was the direct force behind the enactment of Peyton’s Law to help protect student athletes.
