Undergraduate research mentorship stands out as one of the most rewarding dimensions of teaching and learning at King’s College!
Supported by the King’s College Undergraduate Research Office, Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP 2024) grant, faculty mentor Dr. Bora Senyigit (accounting) teamed up with Zander Kraklio (accounting ’26) to explore a critical topic in modern business: how professional certification programs actively shape accounting and business education curriculum.
What began as a collaborative campus project quickly gained international momentum 🌟. The duo first presented their findings at the 21st International Accounting Conference, sharing their insights with scholars from across the globe. Driven by that further refinement, their work has reached a major milestone, becoming a peer-reviewed article now officially published in a Cabell’s-indexed academic journal!
Zander’s journey highlights the power of hands-on scholarly experience at King’s, demonstrating how student-faculty partnerships elevate classroom concepts into impactful, published research.
Congratulations to Dr. Senyigit and Zander on this remarkable achievement!
